SCIENCE IMMERSION COURSES for K-8 Teachers

2010 Courses
 
If you are a K-8 teacher interested in making science more engaging for your students, Boston University offers you a choice of two immersive workshops:
• Immersion in Global Energy Distribution
• Immersion in Green Energy
Both courses provide a model for participants of how to use inquiry-based methods for instruction; help participants develop a deeper understanding of the nature of science; and build participants' confidence in their ability to teach science.
 
Both Courses Offer:
• The opportunity to explore these topics in an open and hands on manner;
• Four graduate credits from the Boston University School of Education, upon payment of a $50 registration fee;
• A stipend (paid in installments upon completion of program requirements).

Immersion in Green Energy
• Pre-Immersion Sessions on Friday afternoons: May 14, 21, June 11, 18, 25
• Summer Institute: July 12 - July 23
 
Immersion in Global Energy Distribution
• Pre-Immersion Sessions on Monday afternoons: May 17, 24, June 7, 14, 21
• Summer Institute: July 12 - July 23
